Early Childhood Development Crisis

The study states that many children are faced with the challenge of not attending early childhood learning programmes as they come from poor homes and are therefore unable to afford the fees at the centres. This has become a big problem in South Africa as most of these children will be at a disadvantage when they start formal schooling.

At Kgosi Neighbourhood Foundation, we do our best to support families who cannot afford to pay high school fees for their children or are faced with unemployment. We have committed ourselves to providing good education, a nutritious meal and a healthy snack daily for our pre-grade R and grade R learners at Wings of Hope School and the parents only have to pay R100 a month for school fees.
